In the early 90’s Stavros Filosofopoulos comes in touch with the concept of design for the first time, having the opportunity to join the window display decoration group of Tsantilis women’s clothes and fabrics stores. Soon his talent in décor is revealed and a new era starts for Tsantilis stores, since unique and fresh ideas have now found their way to materialize. The window displays become an object of admiration and they receive excellent reviews. At the same time, he obtains his Graphic Arts BsC in applied arts. Stavros Filosofopoulos remains at Tsantilis stores until 1997.In 1994 he is admitted in Vakalo school. His course at the school is brilliant, accompanied by a scholarship and excellent comments on his work. He continues his studies abroad and in 1998 he obtains a Master of Arts in Interior Design in applied arts. Continuing his professional course, he will make creations for established names with impressive results and these collaborations will become long-term Impressive decorative applications and unique performances of original ideas will provide the impetus for his next conquests and the right of choice. In 2004 Stavros Filosofopoulos, among other activities, he creates the An Shop. It is one of the most impressive stores of its kind, based in Kea of Cyclades. When the store opens, it causes great astonishment and admiration. People love its fairy - full of color and light – environment and its positive energy. The hand-made objects, made and designed by him become best-sellers. Objects, jewellery and clothes made by new rising talents as well as by already established designers find their place and they are displayed. Soon the store becomes famous and acquires the prestige of a gallery. Many people choose to buy objects from its collections. Not only due to the unusual design but for the imaginative performance and their collectible value. Stavros continues his studies on interior design and decoration until today, while in 2010 he creates his second store. The fiki shop. It is located too at the harbor of Kea but it has a completely different character from the first one. It is a plain white space which serves as a background for the prominence of clothes, jewellery and accessories, bearing always in mind the aesthetics of the traditional architecture of the Kea harbor. |
